Data Usage
- Respond to your requests and provide our services
- Improve user experience and site content
- Keep you informed about our activity and services if you are a business contact of a client — with an unsubscribe link in every message
Data Sharing
We never sell your personal data to third parties.
Some data may be shared with our technical service providers:

Information sent to our clients
Purpose: to inform the business contacts of our clients about our activity, our services and our news.
- Legal basis: legitimate interest (GDPR art. 6(1)(f)). No consent is collected, and none is required: this is business-to-business communication about services relating to the recipient's professional role.
- Data processed: name, job title, business email address, associated client, together with the history of messages sent and of any objection raised.
- Source of the data: this data is not collected from you directly. It comes from our contractual relationship with the company you are a contact for — details provided during a quote, an order, a project or a professional exchange.
- Recipient: Resend (Plus Externa Inc.), our email delivery provider, acting as a processor within the meaning of GDPR art. 28. No data is ever sold, rented or otherwise transferred to third parties.
- Right to object: every message contains an unsubscribe link that works in a single click, without signing in. The objection takes effect immediately, is permanent, and is retained precisely so that it will be honoured. It covers these informational messages only: documents relating to the performance of the contract (quotes, invoices, project correspondence) will still be sent to you.
- No tracking: these messages contain no open-tracking pixel and no click-tracking links. We do not know whether you opened them.
Transfers outside the European Union
Some of our technical providers are based in the United States, which involves transferring data outside the European Union. These transfers are governed by the Standard Contractual Clauses adopted by the European Commission, supplemented by a transfer impact assessment.
- Providers concerned: Resend (email delivery), Google (Analytics, reCAPTCHA, Calendar), Microsoft (Clarity), Vercel (Analytics).
- You may obtain a copy of the safeguards in place by writing to marius@sergent.dev.
Data Retention
- Contact data: 3 years maximum after last contact
- Analytics data: 26 months maximum (Google Analytics setting)
- Cookies: according to the duration specified for each cookie
- Client communications (content actually sent): 3 years, for evidential purposes, then deleted
- Objections to our communications (unsubscribes): retained with no time limit — this is precisely what allows us to stop writing to you. Only the address, the date and the origin of the objection are kept
